Social Responsibility

Although the MPC Recruitment Group is a smaller medium enterprise, the organization and its staff are very aware of the need to invest in Social Responsibility programs to assist in uplifting and supporting local charities and initiatives.

With full staff involvement at all levels MPC has made various donations and has been actively involved annually with a local children’s home. Listed below are some of our current initiatives.

St. Thomas Children’s Home
All the staff at MPC have for the past two years, supported an annual year-end party for the children of the home. The children range from 2 – 10 years old. MPC has now initiated a “Bed-a-month” initiative and will be supplying the home with a new bed every two months in order to ensure that all the children at the home will have their own full-sized bed to sleep on.

i-Care Foundation
MPC Recruitment Group supports this worthwhile cause by paying for the schooling and clothing needs of two rehabilitated street children, on a monthly basis. The i-Care Foundation is a non-profit organization that strives to rehabilitate street children in South Africa.

Project O
Project O is an Support Organization for children orphaned by AIDS, working in the Valley of 1000 hills. 85% of the money paid into the Charity goes directly to the Sponsoring of the child’s school fees, school uniforms and supplies, support for the extended family caring for them as well as HIV/AIDS awareness education. This is the one of the highest rates of any charity in the world.

At the beginning of 2009, MPC Recruitment Group started sponsoring Nokwanda, an 8 year girl who has lost both of her parents. She is now being raised by her grandmother.

Project O is a very worthwhile cause and individuals can make a huge difference too. Contact Project O on their website www.projecto.org.za

MPC has made a significant contribution to the SAHL/Indlela Children’s Home appeal

In October 2010, SAHL directors, Colin Young and Tim Bean will be cycling a whopping 800km in just 5 days in an aim to raise up to at least R100 000 for Indlela, a registered charity that does amazing work in the Durban North community

MPC has responded to their appeal and have donated generously knowing that the funds raised will assist Indlela with their new home for abandoned children and babies.

INDLELA is a non-profit organisation based in Durban North, whose primary objective is to oversee the work carried out by a number of community projects working into the North Durban area. It serves as a covering body - hence the umbrella in the logo - for several projects, which have a proven track record and share a common purpose: supporting those in need in the North Durban Community.
